I think last week shouldn't and probably won't be forgotten, but it doesn't mean we can't enjoy today any less than normal. Seems a bit odd to do what we did and then turn around and say "What about Wigan?"

Not that odd. If we just forgot that Wigan game then we'd just be accepting it.

But you're right that we should enjoy today.

What i post on here has no bearing to how happy i am or not inside.

Do i enjoy today as much as i would if we'd won last week as well? No. But its just ridiculous when people complain about people complainig on a messgageboard saying they should be enjoying the win. Well firstly they more than likely are, and secondly you're doing the exact same thing your're moaning at them about.

Its not like anyones saying "oh my god this is an awful feeling and i hate the fact we've won" ffs.

wigan beat us in 3 mins,we were the better team,just couldnt break them down..it happens,we beat the champions today with 10 men,and a ref who was a city fan..and ur still not ****ing happy!

Wigan beat us very easily lad, dont get blinded by your bias. 3-0 half time and strolled the 2nd half, we didnt even look like scoring and they also hit the woodwork.

Same here. I've got "Everton Issues". I guess I just didn't get enough hugs as a child.

Seriously though. I knew we would win because I was sure we would get tonked. That's Everton. We will lose 5-0 to Stoke next week though.

The thing about Wigan was that Moyes had already failed to meet expectations and we were had been on a very bad run for ages. It's not like one win will change the fact that we have been really poor lately. Wigan was a chance for Moyes to win back some doubters, instead he went completely opposite with spectacular style. As much as I do enjoy today's win, not achieving 4th place this season will be considered as a failure while 5th-7th is the usual ok but meh where we should be anyway with our current first eleven. And while we did get three points today, we are six points behind 4th place with nine games to go and with fierce competition from better teams with proper managers in place so while this is a nice result it doesn't change the fact that our season came to a sad end last weekend and now we only wait for next season and a new manager who will get three points against the mighty Wigan and the likes.

What today means that I might be arsed watching another Everton game this season but not much else.

I'm chuffed to pieces.

But it's too late. It was needed last week. We needed to win the cup. Not to best City. Well ideally both.

I'm not being whingy. Goodison was boss today. The players were boss today. Why weren't we boss last week?

Simple question and opinions I'm after, why this week and not last?

Because we are best when we have nothing to loose, right after we have lost an important game. This has been Everton for many years now. Add a little bit of pressure to our team and we crumble.

I did mean to say odd to me, if that makes it better. I just don't think the Wigan game should directly impact on what we take out of today. People will obviously react differently to me but it feels like its detracting from today to me.
