I know mate. But he has not played a vast amount. Would be nice if funds could be found to take this type of player.
 

he scored for milan the other week. he wears those gold boots and to be honest.. he looked amazing. i would never believe milan would let him go.
 
He didn't play for Milan before Jan due to restrictions placed on Brazilian U18's playing abroad. Since then he's played quite regularly as a sub and scored several goals, a couple pretty decent ones too. They've had him waiting in the wings for the best part of 6 months. He ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
 
The idea of us launching a bid for Alexandre Pato is humorous at best. :D

Milan knew what they were going for when they signed this kid. They were aiming for someone who would be successor for their #7 Jersey; they found him. He's already hyped as having the potential to be one of the top strikers in the next decade. No way is Milan going to sell him in the next 7 years (if ever). His contract didn't allow him to play until January, this is why he only recently started. He's played in every game for them since becoming available and has scored 4 in 6.

If we want to sign kids like these, you need an insane scouting network; then you need the ability to snap them up before the big boys come in. We would probably need to gain Champions League status before dreaming of attracting these types of wonderkids because when the Milans and Arsenals of this world make a move the kids will always pick them over us.

If everything goes perfectly, in 10 years time of consistent status & scouting network building, then we could hope to attract these types. For now we have to try and keep finding other types of diamonds in the rough which we are pretty good at (Arteta, Lescott, Pienaar...).
 

National team

He didn't play against Ireland coz he got a knock playing (and scoring) for Milan last week. Barcelona were after the lad after they played against his previous club, 'International de Porto Alegre' in the last world club championship. The thing with Brazil is that before the latest wonder kid can find a house in Italy or Spain, there's another one coming through.
Tiago Luis was top scorer in the 'copinha' ( the Brazilian youth cup), and has joined up with the Santos first team. He's already being compared to Ronaldo, the Brazilian one that is, not the **** at Manure. Any way, Real Madrid are already on to him. Doesn't mean they'll sign him as they're linked to any player who has 2 good games on the run. But yeah, you have to get up really early to beat the big boys at this game.

They won't.

He'll be there for a long time until Chelsea, Barcelona, or Real Madrid come in with some stupid bid like say, 40M pounds.
