I would rather he left and we didn't bring someone in than he stay.
He is out for a month for the AFCON and if he gets a lengthy injury we might be in the same position just down by 15 million + his wages for the next 10 months.
There's a lot of football to play outside of AFCON.
And we can't just conjure up injuries.

What's more Everton that than not selling a player when we had the chance because we wanted him to play a big role in our survival and then him actually only playing 2 games in that season.

Why's that a risk? Has he only ever played 2 games in a season for us? No.
I also never said the club wanted him to play a role, I'm saying if no on else is coming in he just has to stay. £15m isn't exactly an equivalent to getting relegated.
How much wpuld relegation cost the club ? I'm in no way his biggest fan, but if we are not replacing him, the 20 million won't make a big dent in the 150 odd million relegation would cost us.
