@Tigger I swear to god I've never heard, read or used the expression ''rewinding clock''.

I've heard of a 'selfwinding' clock/watch. And back in the day I used to spend a lot of time 'rewinding' videos and cassettes. I can also imagine a figurative use in a conversation but he specifically used the words ''rewinding'' saying it was his intention to use that word but autocorrect had put the word 'retarded'. Hence my question, What is a rewinding clock?

I do recognise that language changes. After almost 3 decades living in Spain, there will be a lot of new English words and expressions which I'm not up to date with.

I agree Jamo, it's a new one on me. Think he would like to re-wind time and take back the original remark!
