I've heard of a 'selfwinding' clock/watch. And back in the day I used to spend a lot of time 'rewinding' videos and cassettes. I can also imagine a figurative use in a conversation but he specifically used the words ''rewinding'' saying it was his intention to use that word but autocorrect had put the word 'retarded'. Hence my question, What is a rewinding clock?
I do recognise that language changes. After almost 3 decades living in Spain, there will be a lot of new English words and expressions which I'm not up to date with.

yeah I remember Bilyaletdinov was our fastest player when he was in the team. His acceleration was so poor though that he looked ‘slow’. Top speed isn’t everything. Iwobi isn’t a slouch though and if he got himself back to his Arsenal form he’d be a useful option off the bench for us.
