I believe if the manager, his assistant and coaches aren’t looking at Iwobi and thinking he should be playing as a No.10 then he shouldn’t be. Their opinion matters most.
There’s no unjust. The lad has played 50 games for us now and not once has he done something spectacular to make you think “wow this lad would make a great No.10 for us” he just hasn’t.
We’ve seen and heard all this stuff before with players in the past and not once has a player who was said to be not played in their preferred position left and gone on to be a world beater in that position.
Maybe he’ll get a move to a lower league side who play nice attacking football and kick on there in that favoured role. That’s his best option.
