Confirmed Signing Alex Iwobi

Seems to have similar stats to what Richarlison had the season before we got him.
A little. The difference is Richarlison had some signs that he might score more goals with time. I don't think Iwobi shows that as much but he does show the possibility of developing in other areas so it is still someone we could sign hoping for him to be better in a couple of seasons.

I'm definitely for this one. I wouldn't want him instead of Zaha but in addition to would be a great deadline day.

It's frightening. The people wanting Iwobi are saying almost word for word the exact same things people said ahead of Bolasie signing.

Honestly, no. He's not creative, or dangerous. He's the same thing as Bolasie - braindead, thumps balls aimlessly, runs out of play, completely disrupts the attack.

It never ceases to amaze me what a few stepovers do to peoples' brains.

I dearly hope we do not sign this dude. Despite what all the stat junkies say this guy is the definition of inconsistent. £40m is insane for a guy that doesn't really score or create any goals, who isn't that young and who's wages won't be that low. Including wages, this deal is likely to cost the club £60m rips. For Alex Iwobi. A guy who struggles to get game time for one of the clubs we hope to overtake either this season or in future seasons.

Bambi on ice that’s all he is

I think Iwobi will show significant progress with more consistent game time. I think he also knows that which is why he is open to the move. He's also young enough that it isn't impossible for him to still get better. But I do agree the price is a lot. I just don't think he's also a bad player.

Well mate since you brought it up, how do you fell about Bernard?

For real though, I don't know what the motivation is for people to say he can't contribute to the build up because that is something he has been consistently good at. He is so unlike Bolasie that it's hard take it seriously when people keep saying that he is. He can improve his goal scoring and maybe his creativity a bit but he isn't too old to do that.
