Alegri leaving Juve

People from this area (ex-Yugloslavia) were always historically much more oriented toward Germany, Austria and Italy, in football and everything else (emigration, jobs etc...), my own country was ruled by Austrian Empire almost 400 years, so a lot of historical reasons and interaction with German and Italian world i guess. Same way Scandinavia area i noticed is a lot more focused toward Britain.
Yes, totally understand however, modern football (money) transcends many of these historical connections. But yes, ultimately, history will have a big influence.

Doubt Guardiola would leave until he's won the CL with City. That whole club has been set up for the last 5 or 6 years for Guardiola to do whatever he wants, spend whatever he wants to win it.

Not sure Juve would give him a better run at it tbh

Where are you from mate?

On a side note

Watching the copa Italia last night, was amazed how many East Europeans were playing for them (Lazio and Atalanta). So many ******ic/*******ilic type names. How come we don't do more in that area. Other than Vlasic we have no one and there arent even many on show in the prem at all. THere were more in that game than the rest of the whole premier league I reckon.
Obvs geography plays a part but surely UK scouts should be all over it?!
Article on it here

You would hope, this might help break their dominance a bit.Italian football, really needs both AC and Inter Milan to get their act together.

Its not Juve fault that 2 other traditional giants Milan and Inter are run terribly. Juve gone with times, new modern stadium, marketing push, big players, buying referees etc.. while Milan twins still stuck in past. Likes of Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina, Lazio were always nearly clubs, always around the top but never good enough for that final push to actually win stuff, so as long as Milan and Inter are stuck in this hole Juve gonna dominate there. Maybe Inter finally gonna wake up if there is truth about them getting Antonio Conte next season.

I think whats really hurting AC Milan at the moment, is this financial fair play bs.

Milan ended in this whole financial mess mostly because of Silvio Berlusconi political and financial collapse, Milan was his toy for more than 20 years but this whole corruption and political disasters distracted him (think he ended in jail, not sure) so he ended selling club to fake Chinese millionaires who pulled some con if i recall correctly, club is now owned by some American financial company i believe.

Indeed, and of course Italy has a land border with Slovenia, and is just across the water from Croatia. Bound to be a connection, especially as, as you say, the Sudi Tirol area of Italy was part of the same Austro-Hungarian empire for a long time.
