A bit harsh perhaps but I am glad we didn't consider him. I feel he's not at our level, managerially speaking.
Should have stayed at Hibs. If he'd developed them at the rate he already had then he;d have stood a good chance at the Celtic job and a bash at some silverware and European football.

He was an idiot going to the Championship with a car wreck of a club like that.

Anything to leave Scottish football perhaps?

Well in most folks book, Hibs to Rotherham would be seen as a down grade. Like you say, odd.

...it's really difficult to promote with confidence from running a youth football team. I'm not saying it's an impossible step but it carries risk as the scope and responsibility of the role is so different. Personally, I had my doubts about Stubbs having heard his 'get stuck in' comments from the dug out.

Not really; if he had turned them round it would have been a massive boost to his reputation. Rowett took over at Birmingham when they were in an even worse state, and now he is probably the best thin manager in that league.

Should have been given longer.

I always think the board should also seriously consider their own positions when they sack a manager after such a short space of time. Either they screwed up when the appointment was made or they screwed up when it was terminated.

Or both...
