I do not see the benefits of going to such culturally backwards and represive regimes so the can sportswash them self with the prestige of Al-Rayyan whilst exposing the lads to such extreme weather in this non-sporting nation.

What is the point in playing these nobodies? We need our lads to test themselves against the very best. Pre season should be somewhere with real footballing pedigree. Faroe Islands or Azerbaijan would have been my choice.
