AJ this season

I'd say you can't fault AJ for effort this season. He's had to adapt to not being our no.1 striker, and, instead of kicking up a fuss, he's handled it professionally and admirably. He's managed to score a few goals, and yes, ideally, we would like him to score more, but he has done everything that has been asked of him, and then some.

I think the Metalist game really knocked his confidence. Which, if you think about it, was pretty unlucky seeing as he scored a perfectly good penalty which was disallowed. We know what happened after that ...

Lately he's been getting back to his best and there have been instances when his work-rate, overall positional sense and the way he holds up the play have lead to goals from others.

I hope to see him and Yak get into a profitable partnership. I believe they both should start against Fiorentina. We might as well throw caution to the wind in this game and really go for it with two upfront.

this really does sound nuts doesn't it, anyone would think we're a relegation team when we are throwing caution into the wind by having 2 up top.:lol::lol:

But I agree with you Nebbiolo, we should do it and probably do it alot more often aswell.

Just remembered another big plus point for AJ, and it fits with Bill's stance on what Moyes is building - during one game when AJ and Yak were on together, I heard the commentator mention that AJ was running around so much that he probably embarrasses Yak with his workrate so much so that Yak started running around a bit more after 20 mins or so (y)
