I wonder does the gaa affect it as well in the sense that there isn't a team from every county in ireland so say someone like myself from tipperary doesn't have a local team playing at national level and because of the gaa i could never support say cork,limerick,waterford etc. I wonder do they miss out on alot of neutral support because of this or im more than likely just talking out of my left one

That is a really good point that I never thought of . As you know Limerick would be closest to me, but living in Clare , if there had been a team I would have rolled up to them.. The local league football takes presidence with parish's supporting their own. Similar to gaa it seems. I was at a junior cup semi final where an amateur village team from Clare were playing and that drew 700 . So Trying to solve the attendance riddle is a tough one.

Caufield must be a dead man walking at this stage. I know he is unlucky to be up against a side like Dundalk every year but they had a great chance this season with Dundalk having to play about 8 games a week. Bottled it again.

He's safe as houses unless he goes himself. Too many down here are happy to be second to "the greatest loi side of all time" and view JC as a success. Too many Foras members throwing out the " look where we came from" lines. It's sickening to listen too. I'd have sacked him after the cup final last year and I'd definitely sack him after this year's but it ain't going to happen.

Garan Manley who is currently injured is excellent at lb, Ogbene has a chance as does Drinan and young red head in cm who completely dominated the game last night and whose name I can't remember, Alec something, super player. A lot of those guys have another season at u19 yet. Roma next

Ya he played really well but missed a pen for his hat trick. Good player and looks comfortable in the first 11 but Wexford were dire. Be interesting to see if he gets a run in the cup final, the big open spaces at the aviva should really suit him.

Edit: they have switched the u19 legs around so we now have roma at home in the first leg next Wednesday 2nd november
