A silly question I know, given the nerdy nature of the game and the ultra males and classy chicks that we have on this forum, but has anybody played this game?

Basically, its this :

Aion: The Tower of Eternity (Korean: 아이온: 영원의 탑) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released by NCsoft, a major Korean game developer. Aion was (up until May 20, 2009) known as "Aion: The Tower of Eternity" but it was released in North America under the one-word title of Aion. The game combines PvP and PvE (a concept the developers call PvPvE) in a fantasy game environment.

Yeah I know, proper full on nerd tastic, but its alright if you like that kinda game. Personally its the first MMOPOOPRG ive played, its alright, but im not sure if im gonna continue to pay the robbing fools £9 a month to play it.

So any fellow nerds play it?

Yeah a few of my fellow nerds played Guild Wars and have moved on to Aion. As said, not sure if I can afford, nor want to pay £9 a month to play a frigging game. So it might only be a 1 month thing.

If I had £9 a month to waste I'd spend it on a metart subscription or something.

But no, never heard of it.

There's one coming out soon that's real life based but I can't remember the name. Got Templar in it and traids. That looks quite good.

Its just something to pass the time, but I dont normally buy games, let alone pay monthly fees, was just hoping an Aion nerd would have some tips.

I'll give you a tip...if you're gonna' go the MMO route drop Aion and go with EverQuest2. That or Eve Online, if you're into sci-fi. I've done them all and those are the only two that keep me coming back. There can be a rather steep learning curve for Eve Online but the monetary system beats all other MMO's hands down if you're into that type of thing.
