Then it was obviously a stupid contract we gave him, no wonder cannot move him on. You are right in saying he likes to keep his rear end warm.

I would imagine he is dropping down the pecking order for the Republic, can't be expected to play in Euros when you haven't played a league game for months. Match fitness must be an issue.
