AI

Saw this last night, very very concerning. Little to no regulation in the US ( no surprise there) and listening to the likes of Altman, Zuckerberg etc, reveals that their products are dangerously defective and they want us to sort them out. It's again all about the money and their corporate greed. What a society we have

You can also see the strategy from the AI companies. Whip up a frenzy about the supposed capabilities of the latest models > create a FOMO by limiting access initially > stick it behind a huge paywall

Keep typing out that sentence and see if you can ever get the initial one.
It's irrelevant whether I can though. The nature of AI prevents us from being able to prove whether that image is real or not.

It could be that that user (using google, of course) has cats or searches for pet products and the AI got confused, or it could be a 1 in a 100,000 shot, or it could be they photoshopped it like you'd do it 2005. There is no way to test it because of how AI works.

It's a meme.

It's not the power or the cost ... it's the water usage for cooling.
If warming is the thing, where's the water coming from? Especially if government insist on putting these data centres in places like Lincolnshire which are already water depleted.

Plus, AI porn is rubbish

Water usage is a massive white elephant in the room for these projects and other sectors like SAF plants and Green Hydrogen Plants.
