I'm a bit worried about the wages to turnover and losses.

Over the next couple of seasons I expect our wage bill to stop inflating while hopefully our commercial revenue increases.

I think it ends the whole Europa League debate (about whether it is positive for Everton). Getting up to 6th/7th this season and then having a decent European run next season would really help. We need to start bumping that revenue up in every way possible (plus European away days are boss).

I would try and do this without bringing any further players in though, unless it is a loan or a permanent that is guaranteed to be a first team player in the years to come (unlike Tosun say).

Has anyone challenged FFP/STCC/P&S in court?

Seems like a fairly open and shut case of limiting/restricting competition?

Been thinking this since the losses got announced. How is anyone outside the ‘big 6’ expected to challenge at the top, when it’s impossible to compete with them off the field.

Even if you look at our nearest competition in each area.. Tottenham get about £25 million extra per year in kit sponsors.

Man United finished 6th last season & received £14 million more than us in 8th.

The Champions League can be worth between £30-80 million, depending on how far the team gets. Tottenham got about £70 million for getting to the final. This sort of money has near enough been ring-fenced for the ‘big 6’ over the past decade. The Europa League is worth between £10 to £40 million depending on performance.

Commercially, were about £60-70 million behind Tottenham (the lowest of the big 6) & about £40 million off City in terms of match day revenue (lowest of the big 6)

With FFP, the league is basically redundant as a competition, the difference between us and the lowest of the big 6 in each area combined, totals more than our losses that we’ve just reported. So whilst we’re now limited in what we can spend, the top teams can continue to invest huge amounts to ensure they remain part of the top tier.

And we need to get as high up the table this season as we can, there is a few extra million at stake in addition to trying to get into Europe.

It's fine to get a cash injection via USM but the business should be run as if every penny counts with the aim of long-term earnings growth and sustainability.

It's not the end of the world is it? But let's just get some perspective.

We've won the transfer window 2 seasons on the bounce so I'm constantly told. We've signed players from Barca while the rs are selling to Barca.

We can get carried away again if you want but when it hits the fan like it has of late then we'll all feel a bit silly won't we?
Oooof. Mask slipped here!

Well I popped over to RAWK, anyway worth a read about us. Were getting relegated, doing a Leeds and basically totally f#cked. We wont have a club within 5 years

May as well start looking at something else to do Saturdays then mighten we
Did any of them mention that their club debt is just under 16 times ours? We are 10 million in debt they are 155 million in debt.

Yeah but their debt is the cuddly, sustainable, long term vision kind.

Ours is evil "win stuff" debt.

I used to work with a guy who's ma was an accountant at Liverpool. No joke, she retired early on stress (this was their Ricky Thomlinson tearful video phase).

Isn’t that West Ham?
