If we sold him for say 15M do you think there is a player out there that can do what he does for us at the same price? Plus his wages aren't extreme and he wont get knacked playing for Spain anytime soon.

Dont think we'd get 15M. Like to think so but just cannot see it. Rather have Gavin McCann

i'm confused, i thought he already was playing for one of the top 4 clubs in england, i'd atleast be less insulted by it if he'd said top 3.

lets pray mikel sacks this guy sharpish, can't have him causing controversy, how do you expect all the boys in training to look at him the same way after that?

getting the odd start everyone once in a while for the mancs or the arse won't get you a cap if consistent brilliant performances for everton from last season didn't, and besides i couldn't care less what that racist [Poor language removed] aragones thinks, hopefully mikel will come to feel the same way.

after spain's early exit from the euro in the group of death, aragones will hopefully lose the job and all will be well.

edit: nevermind i got mixed up they're not in the group of death, but i still see them getting upset, fingers crossed.

Not that I believe that nonsense from the papers anyway, but he wouldnt make the first 11 of the teams above us giving how he's played this season.

Dont get me wrong Arteta on his day is fantastic to watch, but this season his set peices have been poor and so too has his off the ball work and he's not looked that special when he's on the ball too. So I just cant see a club coming in for £15M+ right now and I cant see us letting him go for less than that.

I think playing on the right side of midfield is too physically demanding for him over 90 minutes, and thus he's offering Tony Hibbert little or no cover, move him inside against Derby and Birmingham and let's see if the Mikel of old returns.

You know I watched the Derby again last night and thought the same thing. No doubt him and Peanut are going through the motions at the moment with their niggling injuries. I agree lets move him inside and see if a spark developes.

The problem is who do we put wide? I believe its fundamental to any team that you have a talented wide player that will stretch the opposition out to allow you to create the room to make more chances. You take Arteta off the wing and who do we have? I agree though that he's not naturally a wide player, but he's the best we've got there right now.

Because its Derby, i'd move Steve P to the right and bring in Baines to play on the left in front of Lescott at left back.
