Player Valuation: £35m
Right Im done with Sundays and last nights game threads. We all know now mistakes Bobby made on Sunday with resting players that maybe should have played and also we have no control over the silly mistakes which cost us games so far this year. Lets draw a line and move on to this weekend & rest of the season.
We will have a strong team out Saturday with a lot of fresh players playing in their natural positions (we hope:) ). Lets go there and do something we havnt done in years against a pretty ordinary RS side. Good showing and 3 points and we are back on track. As seen last week all the sides that will be around us come May are in the same boat so we havnt fallen too far behind.
Positives signs of players coming back into the squad like Gibson and Oveido with Barkley & Pienaar back soon enough we hope. Game time for Atsu, Garbutt and Besic who may be useful off the bench this season.Think if Jags and Stones get a decent run of games together we wil start to get some clean sheets. When this happens we will see a vast improvement in results as we have the second highest conversion rate in the league so far this season (SS provided this stat at the wknd).
Still got FA cup and Europe to look forward to so this will provide an extra chance of a trophy this year. Bobby will have seen by Decemeber what we need (should have brought in in the summer!!) so there will be money spent in Jan to address this issues.
May not agree with this thread at the moment but Im done with all the negative stuff that wil get us no where. Put it this way , if our manager and coaching staff had same negative attitude as we have had the last week (rightly so) theres no way the players would be able to pull together to turn it around. We as fans need to rally behind the team as we are all in this together.
COYB & 3 points please Saturday (Im married to a RS supporter by the way but have money there to bring her out sat to cheer her up when they loose!!)

I'm pleased that you're so positive (because I'm really struggling to today) but having read the thread, I think you may well be right as any team would miss Barkley and Pienaar. We're just letting too many goals in and that needs addressing toute suite. I wonder if we threw gibbo in front of the centre halves, in effect a back 5, would help? I realise the snake pit isn't really the place to test a new system out but do we have (m)any other options?

Jags and Stones in the league going forward for me now. Play the others in the europa.

We are always going to score with our better players playing so we need to get this partnership up and running starting this weekend.

As poor as our record has been at Anfield, this is the first time in a good few years where Everton are probably deemed considerable underdogs. The last few we have always been flying and even last year many thought we had a chance. Still not forgive Moyes for his selections before the cup game against sunderland but thats a different story. We might aswell go there on Saturday and give it a good go, its not going to break our season if we lose, but 3 points could certainly make it.

Spot on. You've said what a lot of us are thinking, it just won't go down well with those that like to bitch and moan because we haven't got off to a storming start.

The only team we lost ground to that we need to be concerned about is Arsenal. Who in all likelihood will finish higher than us anyway. That 4th spot is up for grabs, and we can make a start by beating them lot on Saturday. It's the derby so i'm not going to even bother saying we will win, but if our players look at that lot for what they are, a bang average side who has lost Suarez, we could go there and win comfortably.

He cant go there Sat and play with 2 wingers. Mirallis will play with Nais & Lukaku but it will have to be an extra body in with McCarthy & Barry. Gibbo a good shout to keep it tight while still allowing the 2 full backs to get forward. Wel see what Bobby has in mind I suppose.

What has he got in mind that's the worry.
I agree with you about the wingers though just hope super kev is fit.

We've just been unlucky. I feel it's going to click soon once we'll start winning most games. Sunday WOULD have been the start of that if it wasn't for Howard's first error.

We win on Saturday then it's all uphill from there.

Agreed. That was like the Sunderland home game last season. The defence should have got rid and Howard had no need to bring him down. Killed us that, and got them back in the game when Palace hadn't threatened at all.

We will get it right, but I think the time for Stones and Jagielka at centre back has arrived. Distin needs a spell on the bench.

Positivity thread so i wont share what I believe will be the selected third body in the middle!! Naismith will be huge on Saturday. Look what Villa did with Agbonlahor last week sitting on Gerrard the while game. They hadnt a clue what to do so I can see Naismith doing a similar job this wknd. Kev il frighten the life outa them again if plays and Lukaku will be well up for it after last season going off early

The team put out last night said it all. Our back four of Seamus, Stones, Jags, Baines, were not even on the bench, probably left at home practicing how to defend. It will be a completely different game at the weekend........

.....we'll still get battered like.........
