After How Many Appearences To We Slag Our Home Grown Players Off

And re: Kenny - lad's not shown anything consistently even decent, can't really defend well, not pacy enough and not a good enough cross going forward, scored an own goal and looks more scared than a dear in the headlights (hey, remember when Heitinga was singled out as a faux hard man and a big fake for the 1 challenge he didn't two-foot someone in?), yet he's potentially great.

K den.

'Not shown anything'?

That's not really true now is it. Had an excellent season for the Under 23's, had a good tournament at the under 20's World Cup and then was managed poorly by the previous manager instead of being given a chance at the start of the season when the team was not in the awful run of form we are now. Has shown on numerous occasions that he can get up the wing well and provide crosses in to the box.

Writing him off already after about 5 first team appearances is pathetic. So many football fans just jump to quick conclusions and fail to appreciate things like form, environment that they enter the first team etc.

The original poster has got it spot on about Baningime too. He's played twice and looked good in both games so will instantly be expected by a lot of the fanbase to show the consistency of a seasoned pro, as if he's aged 27 with about 10 years experience at the top level.

The same people now slate Davies as not being good enough even though he's quite clearly one of the most talented youth prospects of his age in this country.

For new members, it's around the 5 month mark after which they can be slagged off ;) Seriously though, we rely on advertising to survive on here, and they don't like swearing, so please mind your language.
