Player Valuation: £70m
Just a quicky , but in naming prospective transfer targets , can we please keep in mind that the African Nations Cup is due in Jan / Feb , I think . Around then certainly . Thus , with a side which , ( currently ) , contains Yak / Yobo / Peanut / and perhaps Victor , already , do we want to be signing , say 2 more Africans in a window of , say 4 signings in all ??
I raise it due to our propensity over the last two seasons to , " hit-the-wall " , " blow-up " , or other such analogies , meaning that we basically , ran out of legs . This , it could be argued , actually cost us silverware , certainly last years Eufa and the recent Chelsea game .
Thus , I would merely advocate an element of foresightedness in relation to possible purchases . If this team are to win something it has to be soon . This season probably , and while Victor may well be , " off-yer-pop " , and it may be 1 - in - 1 - out , which is fine , but please not 3 out of four . They need reinforcements . Enough to bolster us through the depths of winter . Not the cream getting off for a month or so .
So , please , Ginger fella , I'm sure you will , but , keep it in mind , eh ???
I thank you .

We are going to be hurt this year. Losing Yakubu again! I hate the thought. Pienaar is just absolutely vital to our team, it will be bad to see him go aswell. I can see SA and Nigeria getting to the final as well this year.

How many other teams lose as many vital players as us?

If Lescott goes whoever we bring in needs to be of quality, able to play straight away for the start of the season and for when Yobo goes away for the month or so.

Pienaar didn't qualify, so he will stay. We can deal with the Yak absence, as we proved it for last few months of the last season. However if we would sell Lescott and not replace him properly, Yobo's absence can be an issue here.
