AFCON

McNeil or Dibling for Niadye. KDH, Garner or Igroebunam for Gana.
Alcarez gets a run at No 10.
Other teams will also be affected.
Not just our problem.

Wolves and Forest could be missing four players, Burnley and Brentford two players, Villa one.

Our two are important players, not sure how important the other teams absent players are to them.

Looks mainly squad players for most teams. Sunderland will lose seven in total, with a couple of regular starters, but will impact their squad over the busy festive period. Man U will lose Diallo and Mbeumo who are both quite key for them.

  • Aston Villa - 1
  • Bournemouth - 1
  • Brentford - 2
  • Brighton - 1
  • Burnley - 3
  • Crystal Palace - 1 to 4
  • Everton - 2 to 3
  • Fulham - 3
  • Liverpool - 1
  • Manchester City - 2
  • Manchester United - 3
  • Newcastle United - 0 to 1
  • Nottingham Forest - 1 to 4
  • Sunderland - 7
  • Tottenham - 1 to 2
  • West Ham United - 2
  • Wolves - 5
Sunderland and Wolves (even more so) are screwed.

Could Uefa really have a say in the matter.
Put pressure on FIFA to get the AFCON played at a reasonable part of the season for Europe.

For example: they could get them to do it in the autumn when European nations are also involved two periods of qualifying rounds that disrupt the domestic season. Get all the nationalist rubbish - on whatever continent - out of the way in one fell swoop and leave club football alone.

Yeah, it is blatantly nonsense of how it's played out, I just don't think Uefa will have a leg to stand on with the whole process. Fifa are stuck up their own backsides trying to be the big boys at the party, so bowing down to Uefa isn't going to happen.

And than you have to somehow sell it to Africa's federation, they will want their foot in the ground instead of bowing down to others aswell.

Maybe they'd think twice if European league clubs started to avoid signing African players because of this.
