When you look at that Australia team of 2006.
Schwarzer, Neill, Cahill, Culina, Craig Moore, Popovic, Emerton, Kewell, Viduka, Aloisi, Chipperfield, Bresciano... the team was laced with players in the top leagues, and they were pretty decent.
Nowadays, your star player is Aaron Mooy, and he's utter garbage, you just have to wonder when the Aussie Golden Years will return.
as for the AFC Cup, Vietnam are in the Quarters, I think that's enough said.

Never saw that coming to be honest. Not that I follow Asian football though. Looks like they'll have a respectable team by 2022 then.
