Kinda hard to blame Cuco for being played out of position. He's got one peg that is halfway useful and it ain't his left (he hit some good crosses as a RB).
I am not "blaming" him at all.
It is not his fault Koeman fetched him here from Saints third XI nor is it his fault that the same fellow left us with zero cover for an ageing left back and Cuco had been shoved into the breach.
But the fact is he is useless when we try to start an attack down the left hand side.
We need the left back position sorted right away.....even Baines is no longer the answer.

Think he’s the most hit and miss player I’ve ever seen. When he gets the ball he either does something great or gets it taken off him with ease, and absolutely nothing in between. Even Bolasie plays the odd simple pass.

I tend to agree but for me it was his best showing in a blue shirt. Showed more strength than I can remember and took people on.
Has he ever played on the left? My memory might be fuzzy but I seem to remember him on the right exclusively.

I was agreeing with @ToffeeTim saying we can't play Lookman regularly at outside left whilst Cuco is behind him because Cuco is not a strong enough defender to have a flair player in front of him.
Iceland can't play his normal game because he is continually having to get back and help him out in defence.

Definitely. He also pressured their defence and won the ball back a few times which I don’t think he’s ever done.
He’s played on the left a lot, Boro away last year, Apollon the other week. I reckon he’s probably played on the left more than the right.
