2017/18 Ademola Lookman

Im a Londoner who moved to Liverpool for a couple of years when I was a nipper, it's a pretty big culture clash tbh... especially for a young black lad in a city which is 99% white. I know that may sound silly (like black people can't be mates with white people etc) but it's going to play a factor at his age imo.

Liverpool's 85-90% white, depending on which stats you look at. I get your point, but there is quite a difference between 99% and 90%.

Wouldn't mind him and Mirallas being rotated with each other. I don't think Lennon should be ignored either.

I definitely don't agree that Lookman is ready to start every week. In fact I think I'd currently start Mirallas given how bad we've been. But Lookman is an obvious option when teams tire and the game stretches. When he's being overlooked for Niasse and the like, it's just rank bad coaching.

Twelve months ago Lookman was a novice footballer with a first division club. Plenty of potential but with loads to learn.

I think the mistake was made when he came first and put straight into the game giving false expectation rather than not playing him more often now.
He is not playing with the under 23s and is I expect getting intensive tuition at Finch Farm about what is expected of a Premiership player.
I think we will see more of him as the season goes on.

Koeman is right not to play him. I find it hilarious these fans calling for him to play. Remind me again, which game was it he's looked good in since he arrived?

Crystal Palace away he came on and was excellent.

But he's 19 fgs - or only just 20. He's got a lot of learning to do but at the moment the clamour isn't because we think he's going to be our saviour. It's because he offers something that at the moment we are severely lacking - and that is pace, skill and the ability/attitude to run at players and drive us forward.

The best we've looked by far this season was the first half vs Split. We tore them apart and looked in complete control. We played with two wingers - one of them Lookman - and Klaassen off Rooney.

Yep, he struggled. He clearly has all teh ability but neither the physicality nor the mentality yet. Having said that if Ron wasn't going to play him he should have been loaned out.
