Maybe Mikey shouldn't be up on his high horse all the time when it comes to young players.

If having principles and morals puts me on a "high horse" then so be it

It's amazing that wanting to give a young player, or indeed any player, a fair shake of the stick is now grounds for ridicule

I think that says more about you than me to be honest

Show ignored content, quite simple really. principled is not what you are being. youre getting the hump because you're convinced you know at least 50% of the reserves are going to be superstars. Which is bollocks. So not a whole lot to learn from you I don't think.

He struggled against Sunderland but in previous games he's been far better than Mirallas has this season.

He's done well, hasn't looked out of place at all, just lost a little sharpness in the last game. The fact he's keeping Mirallas and Valencia on the bench is testament already to how highly Koeman must rate him and the work he's doing in training. I wasn't even expecting to see him this season, maybe some sub games at the end. To be starting already is a huge leap.
