Ademola Lookman

he hit it towards goal hoping it would go in. luckily it went between the keepers legs.

Every striker/player is told to at least get the shot on target....he did....the onus is then on the keeper to stop the shot or its a goal. He didn't so it was a goal and Lookman did his job and was rewarded for it. Goalies don't position themselves with there legs closed so if the shot is hard and fast then it will beat the reactions of a keeper.

Koeman saying he's been hugely impressed by this lad and is even willing to start him soon.

Now that says a huge amount about how good this kid is - Koeman is extremely difficult to properly impress.
I thought the same. He is not one for talking up players usually.

Id keep him on the bench at Palace, need to go easy with him, not sure a big Sam side at home would be a good place to get his first start.

This kid is going to be massive for us.....I just feel it in my water. I'm not prone to going OTT about players but I can see Lookman having the same impact here as Owen had when he broke onto the scene over the park.
The way he composed himself, controlled the ball and slotted last week was very impressive. Lots of players would have either froze or just put their laces through it, but not this lad. Exciting times ahead I reckon.

His anticipation to receive the ball for his goal, was the thing that impressed me the most. There were a lot of years of PL in players switched off when Lookman was switched on.

Whatever about the finish you make your own luck and the anticipation in the lead-up showed real appetite and football intelligence especially when it was his PL game.

Lukaku has taken to him straight away, the total opposite to him apparently laughing at Niasse' first few training sessions. Maybe a striker sees things in another striker that we don't
