Fair do's but what about his Everton mates who have scored since he willingly took the toffee £

I don't know. He'd know that.

I definitely think he wants off, but I don't get people calling players 'bells' (or other derogatory terms) for something so irrelevant.

He hasn't had a chance this season, whether that's down to him or not, to prove if he's committed anyway.

Not really.

He was mates with Augustin at Leipzig. He was happy his mate scored.

You're a grown man/woman calling a 20-year-old a bell because he posted a video of his mate scoring a goal?

Well, clearly I didn’t see what he actually posted, if you’d cared to actually read my post you were replying to.

Someone simply said he’d posted saying he was watching the game and then deleted it when they started getting battered, which I took at face value, and thought “ha he’s made himself look a right bell there”.

Happy with that explanation mate? Tbh, it doesn’t take a genius to read between the line and see that this lad is a bit big for his boots. And I’m desperate for him to stay btw, I think he’s quality.

Did you see the Valencia game?

Ability is one thing; attitude and application are others. Seems to have the first in abundance and severely lacking in the other two in the Blue shirt of his current employer. Be some reversal to see the latter changing in the short term; his value is only going to go down if he doesn’t play. There is only one club interested in him, he clearly wants to go.

Forcing him to stay will only bring resentment and unwillingness in my opinion - it’s hard to win fans over unless your performance on the pitch is of a level that sees the ability outweigh the other characteristics and produces winning results. Just don’t see that happening and having a career here, the Goodison crowd is pretty partisan on application and pride in our shirt. Take the money and get rid. £15m profit ain’t a bad return on unfulfilled potential.

Yeh, I was in the Gwladys.

But I don't think 10 minutes at the end of a friendly is being 'given a chance'.

Btw, I'm not criticising Silva. He sees what he sees in training. But as fans, we haven't seen him, is my point.

Yeh, I did see what you'd said. And I know you'd phrased it as a question.

I just think there's a lot of reading between the lines being done, without anyone knowing the facts. :)

Fair point but what manager would trust a player who he perceives to have the wrong attitude?

We don't know for sure that Silva thinks that, or at least we don't know if that's why Lookman missed B'Mouth.

I think it's likely that he wanted Bernard to be involved, and due to injuries, Dowell needed to be on the bench as a spare midfielder?

If he goes, he goes. I'm kind of past caring, which I suppose a lot of us are! I don't think Lookman is entirely to blame, though. In fact, it's not really a blame game. It's just one of those things.

He is a very young man, a young man who wants to play football. I never blame a player who wants to play. If he sees no future at Everton then he needs to move on. We haven't really given him much cause to think that he is going to get game time at Goodison. If I have a complaint it is that he wants it too soon, I would like to see him stay and get his head down and work to get into the team.

Agree with all of this.

But, we have every right to demand what we want for him as well, despite the media assumption that we should sell cheap.

If he wants to go, sell him.
The last thing we need after last season is a disruptive attitude in the dressing room, look at the aggravation we had with Mirallas.
Maybe he should go and have a word with Rodwell and ask him if the grass IS actually greener.
