I think the club are handling this very well. If they were to cave in now and sell him for under the value it would set a very bad precedent to all of the young players.
The more sensible way of handling it is to acknowledge last season was difficult, reiterate that he is part of the managers plan and state they expect him to put a shift in for a season, where it can be revisited next summer if he does this.
It sets a clear pattern that if players knuckle down for Everton they will be allowed to move on when it suits both parties, but if they behave badly then there will be no opportunity.
As I think I said before, I expect him to play with the 23's a bit in the autumn but the penny to drop. I don't think Leipzig will pay 30 million and I don't think we should sell below that.
