2025/26 Adam Aznou

Dude, he may have graduated from there but they didn't see fit to keep him. There's tons of promising youngsters grow up at top clubs who just don't cut it.

He might be crap, he might not. He might just not suit the English game. But I don't think Moyes isn't playing him for no reason.

Barca couldnt keep him from Bayern as a youth player & Bayern wanted to keep him in the summer.

He had a buyout and also asked to leave.

Which is lovely, but fact remains he's failed to secure a first team spot ahead of Mykolenko, a full back widely considered to be average to crap.

Maybe he'll come good and needs to develop on the physical side of the game. But I trust Moyes here. If he were ready, he'd have played.

When was the last time Moyes started a teenage full back in the premier league?

Zat, even you with your obsession with young players, would not consider playing him if you'd watched his performances for the U21s

Clearly has ability but he looked miles off the physical side of things even at that level

Is there any wonder there's so much misery on here.
Last few threads I've read is about signings like Rohl, Aznou and super kid Dibbers and reasons/excuses they're not featuring.
Like we've got a squad depth that can cover their absences.

No idea Zat, but I'm not sure that really matters. He's not playing him, folk on here seem to be indicating he's not tearing up trees in the reserves, so what can we do?

My point is that Moyes has probably only ever started a teenage left back once and that was Ngakia at West Ham.

Doesnt seem like Aznou was signed as a potential starter. I think he's more one for next season.

U21 games were always used for fitness for first teamers. Not sure much can be read into performances.

The other way of looking at is if any if his charges were any good. I paid little attention to the goings on at West Ham, but bar Mustafi i can't think of too many prospects that didn't play for us in his first spell that went on to make me wonder what might have been.

Ultimately it's Moyes' choice, like it or not.

It’s scandalous that he’s had no
Minutes in games that were gone,
Like
Newcastle and Spurs and to play Coleman left back v wolves in the cup was also a bizarre choice. No
Surprise with Moyes though,
Look at Saturday and maybe Dibling starting would have made zero difference, but he picked McNeil and played him
in a position, where’s hes never had a decent game, never mind good

Out of the two, the Dibling situation surprises me more. I can understand a young player from overseas needing time to adapt. Concerning he's not being considered given our clear need for full back cover. But the fee in today's market for someone perhaps viewed as potential isn't huge.

Dibling arguably shouldn't need to adjust the English game. What is going on there is a bit more of a puzzle.

Or, maybe, they're actually just crap? You'd get one Gylfi Siggurdson for the pair in old money.
