2025/26 Adam Aznou

The speed we are writing these youngsters off is getting shorter and shorter every season. How about giving them a chance before declaring them league 1 standard. It is getting ridiculous. They've barely played enough to have formed such definitive opinions.
"He was once on the books at Barca and Bayern. If he hasn't won the Balon D'Or by the time I finish my sausage roll we need get shut of the Moroccan Patterson asap."

Very true. But on the other hand, if he isn’t deemed a better option than a not match fit 36 year old right back to play left back, then presumably he isn’t “yet” showing enough to demand a place.

Writing him off is crazy at his age. But not crazy to maybe trust the manager isn’t telling lies and think we have bought a player for a much needed position who isn’t good enough to play ‘yet’

No surprises really with Moyes' comments? We knew he was deemed a future project when he was signed.
The surprise gets blown out the water when Coleman actually starts the game ahead of him .
An aging right back , out of touch, out of time and totally finished as a first team player.

Sat on the bench means he's fit enough and able to play no ?
Other wise what is the point.

I refuse to belive that he's not more effective at LB than Coleman.

The only reason he's not starting is because Moyes is chronically risk averse and would prefer a diminished player with experience rather than an inexperienced player with potential.

Looked a strange signing at the time. Not because he’s not got talent but just didn’t seem like a Moyes profile.

We heard Alan Irvine last week saying Moyes didn’t want to sign Baines and Irvine had to convince him. Moyes wanted to keep Lescott at left back because he was “another big one” who gave us extra height.

Tells you everything about Moyes mindset. Why he’s got Jake O’Brien at right back now. Only put Coleman and Baines in the team through gritted teeth when circumstances left him no other option.

Weird signing if that’s what Moyes thinks about him, considering we have no other backup to Myko.

Or maybe Adam is a pretty young player who needs more than a couple of months incl injury time to get PL ready.
