Funny thing is, with him and Dibling, is that it wasn't so long ago that a lot of people were casting envious eyes at other clubs and their knack of having replacements for outgoing players already in their squad, having bought them a year or two earlier. "It's something we need to be doing" Is a sentiment I heard many fans expressing. Was that just a trend and we're back to thinking we should only buy absolutely ready made first team players now?

I’d argue that Mykolenko needs replacing now (or 3 years ago preferably), so it’s frustrating to still not have a replacement

There was a reason we tried a panic move for Chilwell in the summer. Moyes knew we were weak at LB. We’re more likely to see Branthwaite there than Aznou this season.

If Aznou was hopeless he wouldn't be here. We turned down a loan offer from Marseille because they were insisting on a buy option. We obviously view him as a future first teamer, and that's not really a surprise considering he's a full international at 19. He's obviously not just completely useless.

Does that mean he's ready to start at left back in the PL, not necessarily. But you find a role for him because he needs to play, currently it's a year of potential development of a promising young player wasted.

Myko being as bad as he is just means that people want to see him in there, but I've been just as exasperated at McNeil getting in ahead of him out wide.

I don't think people are overhyping Aznou, and tbh find it more inexplicable that people are rationalising this situation by thinking he must just be a truly awful player. We could have and would have moved him on in January if that was the case.

Only chance would be last 20 mins if we are comfortable ie 3 up in a game
But we have a bit of a history of throwing away comfortable leads with minutes to go

I’m sure Moyes knows we need 2 starting FBs
However he has obviously prioritised midfield and up front for transfers
All of his signings Aznou and a couple of bench iwarmers aside have been midfield/ , attack options
Budgets PSR etc have obviously held us back
He knows we have 4 CBs 2 RFB (Patterson , Coleman ) and 2 LBs
Obviously the full backs are not of the required standard but hopefully that will be addressed in the summer
Evidence suggests that he looked at cheap options for a RB last summer and had a look in this window but nothing readily available that was of the required standard

They did report it, yeah. As well as a late move in the summer for Aké

No that’s why I said Grealish and now George
I reckon George was brought in to replace Grealish and him being there will impact Aznou getting game time
Hopefully George does well and we sign him Grealish and Rohl next season
Then I reckon we just need 2 experienced FBs and a striker
I reckon Patterson could come good if he’s just given experience as a sub or in cup games against lower league teams so could be cover for a new RF
I’d keep Keane despite what people say unless we get get a good young CB like we found stones and Branthwaite

Looks like he is as he was last game apparently - though Moyes has rejected any and every opportunity to give him a chance in the league.

I don't think he will be, just in terms of bench spots. If Myko needs replacing it would be Branthwaite to move first.
