Gonna be going to Blackburn so not too bothered, is there any point in me trying to get tickets? Tempted to if there is even any left.
Is it possible to change this to match thread?
Is it possible to change this to match thread?
Unless someone wants to do a preview?
Who are they? Exactly.
Theyre all back in training today, will probably be too early to play them against accrington though. Think blackburn is more likely, Also doubt many of the first teamers will even play, more likely to be the under 21n's / 18's but could be wrong.
I'd of thought it would have quite a few of the first teamers in it, as we haven't got another game for another 10 days.
Maybe, we'll find out soon i guess! but i think because our next game is ten days away it gives our boys who have just come back, i.e kone, heitinga, howard, etc a week and a bit of training and then they have game time against blackburn.
MATCH PREVIEW
We all remember the advert. The little kid wearing a disgusting red shirt opens the fridge looking for lemonade (years later he's probably searching for the adult variety) he pours from a milk bottle into a glass and looks surprised to find that it's not lemonade, it's actually............milk! He drinks the milk and proclaims Ian Rush said if he doesn't drink plenty of the stuff he'll be playing for Accrington Stanley. Now, if it was true to drink gallons of milk daily you'd become a top class professional we would see twenty two overweight players trying to chase down a ball that moves around quicker than this advert did throughout the country. Yes! It actually gave fame to Accrington Stanley and I guarantee that saying will be said at least 1000 times before Wedesday nights kick off. Enough of the advert and on to the football.......
Accrington Stanley and Everton are both founder members of the football league, Accrington was formed originally in 1876 under the name Stanley Villa later changing their name to Accrington and playing football until 1961 when bankruptcy closed them down. They later reformed in 1968 playing non-league football for nearly forty years eventually gaining promotion to the football league in 2006 under their longest serving manager John Coleman.
Their new manager is familiar to us Evertonians, ex striker James Beattie who took over this season and is fresh off the back of a 3-2 victory against Altrincham in a pre-season friendly after trailing the game 2 goals to 1.
Having never played each other before despite both being founder league members, this prices to be an enthral long game as Beattie will look to get one over on his former club and Roberto Martinez will be looking to claim his pre-season victory in a game which will be celebrated throughout football.
Up the toffees!
Accrington is a first team fixture. We will play first teamers, like we did last year at Morecambe.

Well, we'll play 3 or 4 first teamers![]()
