Abrasive posting styles.

Is there an issue with abrasive posters on GOT right now?

I commend them for their daily contributions and goodwill to others. These people very often have opposing views but are mature enough to disagree or debate with others in a respectful and warm way.

I do however sadly notice an increased amount of posters with high volume of daily posts but with a very abrasive manner. These people argue in an abrasive and callous way with those who disagree with them on anything. Which is a real shame if the friendly ambitions of the whole community here.

Some have claimed there’s a satirical clique, the bad centrist dogs, countering this with over hysterical responses to posts on here hoping that providing a mirror to the abrasive posters’ behaviour might urge a change in their approach by recognising themselves or at least but mitigating how they try bully others for opposing views or perceived weakness. I don’t condone cliques so can’t agree with this.

I hope this website close to my heart retains its welcoming culture and I’d hate to see this place go the way of twitter where spite and nastiness are too often it’s currency. If any of you small fish wanna find a way out of the pond into the big ocean though I’m happy to give you Twitter tips to help your journey. Even if you mocked me on here I’m sure you realise now I was just too big beautiful an Orca to keep in this little echo chamber so I went to complete twitter to show you. No hard feelings.

I applaud the thankless work of the mods on here. God bless you all.

There is, you’re one of them. This thread is an example of it and they target anyone not just abrasive posts in an attempt to generate hysterical responses for their vowing pleasure.

I don’t have a problem with this happening as it can be quite entertaining, just pointing out it’s not really a question of IF it’s happening.

This is a thread of good intention and harmony, friend. I studied the bit you highlighted but found no similarity to myself. We thank you for your view.

I don't get angry about footie mate, in fact, I don't get angry at anything except for when I reach the bus-stop and three busses are pulling away at the same time and I've got a half hour till the next three come together.

I wonder if Orly still is banned? He used to have the red banner by his name and it is not longer there. And it seems he visited us just a few days ago. Maybe he has been given a second chance at GOT.
