I don't feel this window as been terrible. Gerard, Cleverley the keys in and keeping hold of Stones also is a major achievement. Still not over either to improve further.
Keeping hold of Stones required us to say "no". Hardly much of an achievement.

Deulofeu, Cleverly and Lennon are all decent especially Deulofeu.

I just think we needed a big signing to give us a chance of top 4 and with Utd having another nightmare window and with the rest of our squad top 4 was achievable. I doubt how long this opportunity is going to last. Next year Utd will probably get Guardiola and that will be the top 4 closed for another decade.

Well you see, for a club like ours to say no to £30 million plus, against an heavyweight that Chelsea are, it is a massive achievement to have refused such a deal and not to be bullied. Kenwright and Martinez have to be applauded on this one.

That would leave us with Deulofeu, Kone, Naismith, Mirallas and McGeady for the wing positions. Are you sure?

Let me put it another way, at this stage of his Spurs contract how Levy thinks £9 million is even askable to me is barking mad... and paying that figure when he'll be available on a free come May would be certifiable.

I wouldn't get excited. He will never play it unless we're about 2 or 3 down and it's the last 5 minutes.

He played sommat very similiar home to Palace the night the CL went out the window in 2014.

Mirallas, Gerald and McGeady all started the game.

Ross was paired with Barry as McCarthy wasn't fit enough to start.

memo to Bobby......don't play three wide men again (n)

McGeady was playing and Barry isn't fast or energetic enough to play as a single CDM.

Completely different. Chelsea often play 3 "wingers" with Fabregas in the middle alongside a CDM and they do fine.

Plus Palace are a fantastic counter attacking team. I'm not sure I would play it against them either.

It ain't completely different.

Bobby rarely plays two wide men, never mind three.

They woukd be tripping over each other.

Mirallas on one wing and Gerald on the other fills me with a sense of anticipation though.

Lennon is a bench warmer when thise two are fit and firing ;)
