He's worth no more than £3-4m imo. Out of contract in June, we could basically get him for buttons in January, don't see why we'd effectively pay £9m for a loan, and then he's free next season to join.

Why would he strengthen a rival especially when we need to buy far more than Levy needs to sell.

Do we need to buy more than he needs to sell? I'd like to have him in the squad but we aren't exactly short of players that can fill the role, to a lesser standard maybe, but Levy's only alternative is putting him in the reserves for a year, paying the best part of £3m in wages and then losing him for nothing. Levy is surely looking to sell, it's just a matter of who blinks first.

I like the lad, and he did a job for us last season, and I'd have him back. But let's be honest...Gerry isn't even starting and I'd play Del boy ahead of Lennon everyday and twice on Sunday.

Get him for a tenner in January or free next summer.

I think Levy has a reputation to protect. He set the price at around 7m when he originally loaned him to us and I just don't think he will budge too far from that especially since we're a rival.

Lennon like Cleverly will take a loan at the last minute so he won't have to pay wages for the year. I just think this one could all go pear shaped and we should really be looking at other targets just in case but I guess that will just be McGeady. I also don't think we should bend over too. 6m is fair. Make it with 30mins to go take or leave it and move on.

I also think McGeady won't go until this deal goes through.

I don't feel this window as been terrible. Gerard, Cleverley the keys in and keeping hold of Stones also is a major achievement. Still not over either to improve further.
