Cheers fellas, very much appreciated.

Bainesontoast - Loving the name! Fortunately, those headlines of Lukaku scores first West Brom goal won't appear because he managed to grab his first in the demolition of the second best team on Merseyside two weeks ago. I just hope Saturdays encounter is much more interesting than our 'game' on new years day which was quite frankly pathetic!
That has to be one of the most boring games ive ever watched in my life, what score do you reckon for this saturday mate, there was another west brom fan that comes on here when we play you,if he does this week or not i dont know.

Will always have loads of respect for Baggies, after they were the only club to congratulate us on reaching 100 years of top flight football, over the tannoy, to the full crowd applause. THAT is Class.

I'm going to sit on the fence and say 1-1. Lukaku and either one of the ex-Rangers lads scoring. More than likely Naismith as I was disappointed the way he left the Gers.

It was quite frankly a terrible game matched by the atmosphere, half of our fans were either drunk or never turned up, looked the same in the Everton end to be honest. The kick off time too was quite ridiculous. Not only were we terrible, we made no attempt to win the game either. DM made the changes and you got your deserved winner which came through a terrible cock up from Paul Scharner.

Thanks lid.

I feel slightly silly regarding Lukaku now. Hopefully he's not dubbed the Merseyside destroyer after the game instead then!

And that game on New Years Day last year was definitely pathetic. It has to be said we have evolved considerably since that performance, though. I know West Brom know how to turn the style on too so we should have a decent game on our hands this Saturday.

Hi, as a moderator on westbrom.com we usually run a view from the opposition in the build up to our game against you on Saturday. I was wondering whether you would be so kind enough to answer the questions I shall provide and I'll post the finished article later to you this week.

I must apologies to the site admin If I need permission, or if this has been placed on the wrong board.

1. What were your thoughts on your season last year?
2. What were your thoughts on our season last year?
3. What are your thoughts on our appointment of Steve Clarke as head coach?
4. What are you expecting from Everton this season?
5. What are you expecting from WBA this season?
6. Favourite memories against WBA?
7. Worst memories against WBA?
8. Team you expect David Moyes to put out?
9. Player you fear the most in our side?
10. Finally, score predictions?

I would also like to thank you for smashing Aston Vile on Saturday, and I wish you all a very safe journey to The Hawthorns on Saturday.
1. We had a bad start, as usual, but found our stride after Christmas with the signing of Jelavic and Pienaar. All in all, I'm fairly happy with the 7:th spot since we did beat Liverpool.
2. I guess you where fairly happy with staying up.
3. I think you can have made a good choise in SC, hopefully he can pull you up to the midtable and make you a stable PL team.
4. European competition should be within our grasp if we can get a good start.
5. Challenge for a midtable position
8. Expect much the same as the team against Villa, perhaps you'll face Hibbert as RB and Mirallas as RM.
9. Lukaku & Odemwingie
10. It will be a tough game, but I think we will edge it. We've always had a good defence, 3:rd best in the league last year. And with the addition of Jelavic, Pienaar, Naismith and Mirallas we've seriously improved our offence as well. 2-1 to us.

I like West Brom, mainly because they are my local team and most of my family support them. Usually in the home end for this fixture, which can be very awkward.. especially when they beat us 4-0. ouch.

1.) Worst start in recent memory, made worse by selling Arteta and two strikers and brining in a hotheaded Dutchman and a lumbering Argie. Great Janaury transfer window which changed out style of play and turned out season around. Things looking up this year.

2.) Another solid season from WBA. Long was a good buy and I was hoping everton would get him.

3.) Replacing the massive experience of Hodgson with a first time manager could prove risky, but he seems like a great coach.

4.) Top 6 should be a benchmark, especially if the squad is improved by Friday. Top 4 is not out of the realm of possibility with a fully fit squad if we continue our good start. A cup final would be a bonus. Europe is a must this year.

5.) Mid-table safety for the baggies again.

6.) Anichebe's great goal against you last season.

7.) The 4-1 thrashing we were subjected to at goodison.

8.) Howard, Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Gibson, Osman, Fellaini, Pienaar, Mirallas, Jelavic

9.) Odemwingie or Lukaku

10.) Everton 2 - 1 West Brom

1.) Disappointing. We played well at the end and made some top signings in January, but it was yet another case of us finally getting into our stride too late to achieve anything. The surrender in the league to Liverpool and the FA cup semi disappointment were two of the worst moments.

2.) Top 10 finish is nothing to sniff at, I suppose. I think Shane Long was a mediocre signing though, even as a supporter of the Irish national team. I suppose £6m will be a decent fee or a poor one depending on whether you use Steven Fletcher value levels or Nikica Jelavic ones.

3.) Seems a strange appointment. You have a decent enough squad with a few top players so I would have thought you'd have been able to attract a bigger name. But he masterminded an opening day humiliation of Liverpool so he's fine by me!

4.) I never have expectations with Everton, because Everton never meet them. They either exceed them or miss them massively. I'm taking it game-by-game then but as someone who has been highly critical of Moyes' pragmatic, reactive, defence-based approach to games it's nice to see him being a bit more positive in the opening days of this campaign. We played some top quality, brave, attacking football away at Villa which is hopefully a sign of things to come.

5.) I'm not sure really. I think your strikeforce is pretty enviable and Lukaku looks like a shrewd acquisition. A top ten finish might well be achievable if Clarke can step up to the plate of a full managerial position. You're definitely capable of beating most teams on your day, so perhaps a good cup run is on the cards? Good luck with it anyway, aside from when you play us!

6.) Has to be Big Dunc's last game for us! Not the best result or game necessarily, but he's my all time favourite Everton player so it's an easy choice.

7.) The 4-1. One of the most limp Everton performances I've ever seen. Everything went wrong for us and right for you!

8.) Probably a slightly more negative one than we saw against Villa, as you're a better side (bet that's music to your ears!) and we'll have to combat your array of striking talent. A Distin vs Lukaku match up would be one intriguing physical contest for sure.

9.) I hate pace personally, so Odemwingie. Hopefully we can render him ineffective like we did with Bent against Villa.

10.) If I'm being optimistic then perhaps I can see us edging it 1-2, but my head's saying a keenly contested 1-1 draw may be on the cards. If we turn up and play to our best then we should win the tie, with all due respect, but I'm sure you won't make it as easy for us as Villa did!

Lads, I went on the West Brom forum and Liam sorted us out for this week's Behind Enemy Lines.

Better use my answers for you forum though mate haha!

I must apologies to the site admin If I need permission, or if this has been placed on the wrong board.

1. What were your thoughts on your season last year?

Typical Everton. Poor start, strong finish.

2. What were your thoughts on our season last year?

You did fairly well and look to be consolidating your position in the Premier League. Don't think anyone views West Brom as an easy match. If they did, they don't anymore.

3. What are your thoughts on our appointment of Steve Clarke as head coach?

No opinion.

4. What are you expecting from Everton this season?

Despite our strong start, hopefully top six. Probably end up seventh or eighth though.

5. What are you expecting from WBA this season?

Top ten. Never know, could have an outside shot at Europe if it all falls right for you.

6. Favourite memories against WBA?

I can't remember yesterday.

7. Worst memories against WBA?

Does the scoreline 4-1 mean anything to you?

8. Team you expect David Moyes to put out?

Same as what you've seen against Villa.

9. Player you fear the most in our side?

Your loanee Lukaku. Can't imagine he's anymore fun to mark than Fellaini is.

10. Finally, score predictions?

At your place? 1-1 or 2-2.

I would also like to thank you for smashing Aston Vile on Saturday, and I wish you all a very safe journey to The Hawthorns on Saturday.

There you go sir.
