Doesn’t buying young and developing, involve playing the young players, Dyche might fall at that hurdle. He might go after some more of his 30plus favourites from Burnley first.
Well we know the gaffer wanted Harrison and Young, with Kev firmly on the Youssef, Beto and Danjuma train

only Harrison and Young have been regulars so it looks like the gaffer has set his stall out

With our failing DoF publicly stating in the PL hearing that we have a new transfer strategy of “buying young and developing” how do people think this will go down with the gaffer??

Will the gaffer prefer more experienced heads to balance the ship, or will he be in sync with the club and happily accept younger legs for older heads.

With rumours of Josh Brownhill and Charlie Taylor as possible targets, has the gaffer won ownership of the team over Kev Thelwell??
Just spewed in my mouth a little!

'Developing' haha, unless these youngsters have a neck like a giraffe they're getting no development under this fella

If we have a new policy it should mean no new contracts for

Doucs
Coleman
Gana
Young

Not go near
Alli
Harrison

Sell
Holgate
Godfrey

Recoup mistakes
Beto

Build around Jarrad,James Garner.

Sell luxury payers like Onana when they have value....

Buy younger 19-26 year old, with good potential, experience, pace and hunger.

Sounds simple but will never happen

What's the source on these rumoured possible moves?

He's certainly preferred the experience of Young over Patterson but has also ultimately preferred Branthwaite over Keane so it's in the balance seemingly. Thelwell has stated that keeping Conor Coady or giving Yerry Mina another year were choices that ultimately weren't taken in favour of putting Branthwaite into a first team role.

In fact it's possible to buy and develop younger talent and still bring in experienced players as well. It's not a one or the other choice given the requirements over a season. Maybe, just maybe, it's a collaborative effort between DOF and manager?

So if that's true...

We spent £0 on Dyche players. (Not sure if a Harrison loan fee/it was a clause to allow him out I believe so could be free?)

We spent £45m (+ a bit more for Danjuma loan fee) on Thelwell players?

The whole point of having a DOF is for putting a strategy together for signings, that the manager will need to agree to. Then let the DOF do his job with input from the manager. Otherwise, what's the point? If it's solely down to the manager, then don't employ a DOF.
