The fundamental issue at the moment lies strictly with the manager. With 6-8 games to go i doubt many had a huge problem with the general direction of travel and the team was getting some really good results on the road… indeed the team were a few late goals away from picking up a few key points.

However, the fall of was symptomatic of the well known and very familiar Moyes effect. We’ve all seen it before and we’re seeing it again. The last 3-4 games in particular when he played the same team as if to make some dicky point was so irritating.

As it stands teams around us have already started their transfer business and/or manager turnover. While doubts remain over the owners enthusiasm and Kinnear’s competency you can bet your mortgage that transfer business will be slow, last minute and uninspiring.

How many years have we been crying out for a new LB and RB?

For Everton the game is still survival and not progression.

In the same way that the fans rallied to back the team when the chips were down you would hope that the same motivation could and would be mobilised to let the ownership know where the baseline is for performance, output and results.

I’m just not sure the average match going fan wants the upheaval??
Can only speak for myself but a lot of the fans around me are not very happy at all with Moyes. Apart from the run of 3 wins out of 4 which culminated with Chelsea the season has been grim. 6 home wins, boring slow paced football, out of both cups straight away, refusal to play new signings and couldn't manage to string more than 2 consecutive wins together all season!

People seem too be fixated on the last 6-8 games, but what about the points we dropped at home to absolute crap. Newcastle who couldn't buy an away win. Spurs who couldn't buy a win. Wolves, Leeds, West ham. The list goes on.
