A strategic review of the club going forward

On the face of it this is poor timing. Making a change at BMD would have been seen as a natural new era move but going with somebody brand new rather than the established guy in Goodison’s final season feels like hitting a bum note. Of course if it emerges that the new person has connections that open a new commercial door then we might have to revise our view to it being an early indicator of a necessary new ruthlessness.

They’re moving to more visual media so pitchside interviews maybe and a bit more interaction for match day experience outside the ground even and at BMD that will be key to getting people down the ground early, just guessing but maybe this requires a different skill set???

Maybe they'll be asking former players to do it. There's only 19 league games left at Goodison. Surely there's nothing stopping him getting taken on at BMD.
