its rare a fight doesnt involve harpies.

thats a by-&-by law.

top dog is always despised, as a state i in the most loose and honest terms compare the usa to man utd. capitalised at the right time, and made everyone else pay. as well as not to bothered about rewriting history for their own ego.

fine.

I just dont follow this, salt of the earth, every cause is just mentality. im not saying the US doesnt have its individuals that care and put themselves out for the greater good, what i do say is that there are far more interested in personal gain and are ruthless when it comes down to business in such terms.

biggest producer and exporter of weapons in the world - the U.S of A.

the brits arent, the increasingly sedentary lifestyle coupled with lazy(fast! high salt, fat, sugar) diet has ensured the ''american disease'' has really taken hold here.

a life of easy excess.

fair enough

strong word majority, its a case of percentages. im not knocking the really good caring americans, but to suggest a majority?

Suits,

If you're really gonna try and come on here, and somehow try to insinuate or imply that more than half of all Americans are just crap, I really don't even know where to begin.

Please make sure your opinion is an informed opinion before spouting off next time.

I'd also advise you to spend less time reading media reports about America and Americans and more time around them.

Classic example: I have friends who know I'm a huge soccer fan. When I told them that I've been to England to see Everton play, many of them asked if I was worried about my safety. In other words, since the media over here only plays up the "bad soccer incidents," many have the misguided notion that there's trouble at every soccer match and that all fans at foreign soccer matches are hooligans and look to start trouble. Couldn't be further from the truth. But they wouldn't know that by just getting their information from our sports media.

If you believe what the media says about big bad America, you'd think we were ALL crap.

Outstanding thread (as I know DaveK wouldn't be caught dead in it.)

By the way, I need to ask him in a whole new thread what he thinks of the elections tomorrow here in the States.

He was adamant that they really didn't mean a whole lot as Obama will still be able to carry on business as usual, undoubtedly leading up to his re-election in 2012.

I wonder if he's still really believes that?
