A no win situation

True, …thank god all our players are now fit so we can really strive and push for that 10th/11th place finish.

If you’re not going to take cup competitions seriously then don’t come out and say you are.

When it's 40 years without a trophy at least we can look back and be glad we give McNeil some minutes so Grealish could be rested to play 2 league games in October.

You know what's weird and totally out of its time?

A club like Everton not winning a bean in 30 years.

It's a trophy and European football.

Let's stop being nob heads and actually want to win a trophy.
I’m just looking at the percentages. The league is the easiest path to Europe. It also brings more prize money for better players.

Ironically, it would be easier to win a lower tier European competition than a domestic cup.

Should Moyes have played what everybody thinks was his strongest XI, last night, and Grealish and AN OTHER got injured, being kept out were out for a long period, he would have been slated for playing them. He just can’t win. Accept who we are. We’ve had to live with this for years, and it’s not going to change overnight. We all want success but there’s no guarantee when.

Nah, 7 changes was ridiculous and typical of his loser mentality.
We had no game for 6 days and not like we have loads of games over the season in any case.

better make sure that Grealish and AN OTHER don't train between games.

There is an argument to be made that Grealish would have had less chance of an injury if he’d been part of our strongest XI from the start (as there were more players that Wolves needed to focus on) than he did being subbed on at half time with the squad that were out there.

And it's probably our best bet of getting silverware, and really that is what it's all about.
For me, does a keeper really need resting ?, poor all round imo.
Nah. The last 10 years it’s been won by Chelsea (1), Man City (5), Man Utd (2), Liverpool (2) and Saudi-backed Newcastle (1).

We are in no danger of relegation at all this year and a cup should have been his priority. It’s the easiest way into Europe never mind the much overdue glory.

I cant believe the amount of support for a manager who wanted to take our best players from us when he scarpered to United.

He wasn't arsed about leaving us short then.

When you haven't won a trophy since 1995 and are playing away against a premier league team, you play your strongest team period. He was an absolute idiot making 7 changes and made me feel different about him. Not that i was ever his biggest fan anyway but i respected what he has done since he came but he can gtf with that arrogance last night. No time for that.
