A no win situation

alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
Should Moyes have played what everybody thinks was his strongest XI, last night, and Grealish and AN OTHER got injured, being kept out were out for a long period, he would have been slated for playing them. He just can’t win. Accept who we are. We’ve had to live with this for years, and it’s not going to change overnight. We all want success but there’s no guarantee when.

I'd be happy that he prioritised the cup. We all want success but it's far less likely to come when Moyes picks teams like he did last night. We could win the next 3 league games from now and I wouldn't even be bothered. I want big cup nights at BMD, I want days out at Wembley.

He ended up playing most of them for an extended stretch anyway.

Need another Peasant's Revolt, sick of this attitude of bumbling along, waiting for this supposed 'good time' to appear, as if by magic. I've heard the mantra of building for the future, we need stability, don't run before you can walk, let's consolidate for this season and see what happens ad nauseum. In my useless opinion a change of mindset is what we desperately need, and our new owners better shape up.

No he wouldn't have been.

We've not won a trophy in 30+ years. Let's stop making excuses every time we go out on a whimper.

Not the owners fault Moyes picked that team last night. What they should remind him next year is that we take the cup competitions very seriously, if we aren't in the Europa/Conference then we should absolutely be after the LC as a priority.

I didn’t hate the line up personally. I think the players that came in really let Moyes down. They ranged from diabolical (McNeil, Travers) to mediocre (Dibling). I think the manager would have expected better.
Agree players were poor, but please explain to me why Travers was diabolical

Not at fault for either of the goals. Laughable take

🤦

They're just as likely to get injured playing in the first half as the second. In fact probably more so second half in this situation because we were chasing the game.
