I've been shaking all night just thinking about the game, a lot of us are worried, and i'm no exception, but i really can't wait for it.
i think that right now, believe it or not, we're in a perfect position to shine. we always seem to rise to the occasion when our backs are against the wall. think about the last time we had a youngster starting up front by himself (i think it was the last time), when we had to play vaughn up front against chelsea. that was arguably one of his best displays, our whole team seemed to play excellent in that game, and we grinded out a result (we probably should have won).
so i am a little bit optimistic, very few probably expect us to win, and lord knows we very rarely beat villa at all, but it seems we're the kind of team thats most deadly when cornered.
so far i've rarely seen anichebe given a large chunk of time and disappoint, this lads been waiting for this opportunity his whole life and i think theres a very good chance we'll be watching a future everton legend get his name known tomorrow.
something about moyes' words, how he didn't beat around it at all, saying some players may have to play injured. rather than buying our way out of our problems, he expects every player to dig deep and push on, and that sort of mentality seems to be completely missing in football today. so i look forward to watching the boys in blue go out there tomorrow, and hopefully working harder than villa, because that's really what's going to win this game for us, and at the very least we know there's gonna be a show
