A little bit of praise

I am not going to praise him until he completely turns this mess around, simply plan A is not working and he has not got a plan B to turn too !!!

WE have the squad when fit to be top 6 but does the management team have the dressing room? we will never know, all we can do is look at performances and surmise .

Moyes didn't get sacked when he had 2 wins in 14 games at the beginning of the 2005-06 season..

fair enough Dougie, if he wins against Palace I will back off

And to be fair, Moyes' squad was far worse than this one - Beattie and Neville ffs

Hard work, A bit of luck , less individual errors and maybe a couple of new signings and we should be ok. Who knows if we progress in the europa it may inject more confidence in the team in the league.

As I said, we are a young team but with a lot of dead wood. If you look at are starting 11, we have Joel, Lukaku, Barkley, Besic, Stones and McCarthy who are all 24 and under (most are 21 and under). Thats over 50% of the team who I think most would still consider as young.
re Tactics, I dont think there is a massive problem with tactics, I think it is a confidence thing. I still think you blame the manager here, as the best managers know how to overcome periods of low confidence but Bobby is a young manager. He will sort it out.

Strange as it might seem, I think we have a mixture of players who are old and fading (Distin being the poster boy example, but add Pienaar, Osman, etc), and players who are a little too young (Barkley is naive, Besic is learning, etc...though all have great potential). What we don't have are 26-29 somethings in the peak of their careers (Mirallas, Coleman,??). The balance of youth and experience that worked for last year is a little out of whack. That's why I'm optimistic for the future, but obviously concerned with what's going on now.
But still pro-Martinez - IMO, you don't sack people until they've built their own team and everyone can see the results (good or bad).

Sums it for most of us...if we can keep those young players.
