10/11/17 TWAIN CRUSH DAY
Now I know that we have been largely pants this year and are currently bottom of the league. People here have called for Moyes. Round and Kenwright to be sacked which is ridiulous given that this is the same set up which has brought us much happier times than those before.
Every other post seems to have ..... OUT! in the title so here is a more positive view following the Fulham draw.
1 - An away point! Not much I know but had we lost the vultures would have gathered and heads might have dropped. We needed something after the Brentford disaster.
2 - A clean sheet! First of the season. Jags looked as good as ever, Distin was better and Nev back at FB is a result - don't underestimate how inportant it is to have leaders and organisers at the back.
3 - Coleman at RM. Gave us better balance and a sign that Moyes can and will experiment. many here have called for this and I think it worked well with Nev mopping up behing Seamus;s forward runs.
4- The Yak is back! He played 90 mins and his overall play was good. yes he missed chances but he was backing into and turning defenders well and generally looked a better player. His confidence has been shot following injuries and a poor world cup and there were signs here that he is back. The 451 works best with him and Cahill in it.
5 - The players were up for it. there has been nonsense written that DM has lost the dressing room. Boll*cks! The players went out there and worked hard for him and, again we should have won!
So while not forgetting it has been an awful start that is still al it is - a start. There are still 32 games to go and to say we can not get back up to a euro place is stupidly pessimistic - COYB!!!!!

Good post, but just a few points.

1.) Jags had a poor game. Defensively good, but his distribution is embarrassing. Yet again his hoofs don't go anywhere but to the opposition's feet.

2.) Neville had a poor game too. Shocking crosses, poor passing. Defensively okay too, but then he didn't have much to do.

But Coleman and the Yak are the positives, yes. Coleman could solve the right hand problem, at least for now, and on another day the Yak could have had a hat trick. Schwarzer was very good.

* applauds.

Its a marathon not a sprint.

Clean sheets. Goals. Some super tackles early! Physicality. And we'll be back on track

Moyes is a hero.
Or maybe the majority of us are realistic and don't live life based around the latin motto on our badge. I, like every single Evertonian on the planet, want us to be the best team in the world. However, I'd also like to be shagging Kate Beckinsale. I'm not so should I be moaning continually about my wife. The reality for us is that, we've been the best exactly 9 times out of of 132 years. The fact is also that every one on this forum is upset about the start. every single one of us knows Moyes's shortcomings. Every single one of us says 'FFS' when we see Osman starting on the right. So what would you have us do? Have every single thread 100% full of vitriol and complaints about Moyes, Kenwright, Hibbert, Elstone, obstructed views, poor PR, negative tactics, Moyes, Osman, Kirkby, Moyes, Rooney, Barmby, Moyes, moyes and more fcuking Moyes?

A voice of reason. Love the Kate Beckinsale analogy. Its now the definitive analogy whenever somebody mentions the divide between the Everton fans that live in the real world and the other set of fans that think sacking Moyes, having a club bought by just about anyone, and putting Beckford up front in a 4-4-2 is some miracle panacea.

Motto quoters the lot of them.

This.

But equally we know and appreciate our strengths too.

And don't moan for the sake of moaning either
