.... or ramblings of a naive, optimistic, blinkered fan?

I've finally dared to glance at the league table, We're 11th.

We're better than Bolton, Sunderland, Blackpool, Blackburn and Stoke - the teams currently the teams above us, between the Europa spaces. We'll comfortably finish above all of them.

IT'S ON

We're not far off, Arsenal are the only team in the top 7 to best us, but we have to start going after teams in games and stop being negative

I'm actually optimistic for January despite (or perhaps because of) Cahill leaving for that meaningless tournament somewhere or other, because it has to force David Moyes' hand to a) play a striker and b ) play someone else in the Cahill role off the striker.

I'd actually be very interested to see Bilyaletdinov let off the leash just to see whether he is useless or not. If we do play him off the striker, I'd like to see Beckford given a job off the shoulder of the last man, running on to through balls and capitalising off the decent flank work we have from Baines/Pienaar and Coleman.

In theory, we have a bloody decent side. Moyes just needs to find that key to his managerial locker that he apparently lost two years ago, and perhaps having his hand forced is just the tonic he needs.

COYB!

P.S. I know I said I'm ******* off, but I'm just going to post when I have something positive to say instead xD

It's always ON . Even when we're shoite. It's a funny table , though. Two wins and you can rise 6 places, two losses and you can drop 6 places. Every team is in the same boat.

All 5 of those teams we are better than (actually we aren't better than Bolton this year). However all 5 of those teams are happy to get a pt from us because in other matches they get what we don't...wins.

I somehow get the feeling we'll have the least amt of losses in the prem and yet somehow finish 9th.

Who's the a-hole who made a win 3 pts anyway???? Hell we'd be doing pretty fine if a win was 2pts. Or at the very least 2pts for a draw and 5 for a win for just this season. Please make one of these 2 senarios happen. For this year at least.

Football has never been good for budding Mathematicians.

Quite often players give post match interviews after a draw claiming they're dissapointed that they had to "share the points.."

That's right. 1.5 points each.

how many points have we thrown away. with the squad we have its the disappointment of a season full of hope thats showing itself on GOT, we wont finish too well if we carry on pissing about like the west ham game. any player not pulling his tripe out needs to be dropped (mr arteta) and play Duffy ffs instead of out of position players at C H . the season wont just right itself without some adjustment to the attitude of `favourite` players being in the team no matter their form

Well they still both took a share of the points on offer didn't they. Just not a 50% share each. And the other point disappeared soemwhere.

And its NOT ON. Proclaiming it is is even more silly than when it was proclaimed in the summer, at least then there was some basis for it.

Now, no chance. We need to get lucky and hope to scrape into a European spot if things go our way.

And that sure as hell doesn't count as being ON.

Sorry.

how many points have we thrown away.

How many teams can say that this season?

It's crazy. Half way through the season and six points separates Europe and relegation.

If any of Saha/Beckford/Yakubu/Vaughan or anyone we can get in can go on a run of form, theres no reason we can't finish in a respectable position.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'RE
GORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNA
WIN THE LEAGUE !!

If only all those dorty barstads would stop hacking us to bits.

Everton F.C. most fouled team in the prem in 2010, imagine if Webb/Mason/That bloke from near Stoke had actually given us free kicks as well ?

No debate there but Everton can't handle the teams below them in the table and that's where Everton need to start making hay. Draws against sides like Wigan and West Ham can't happen. Those sides need to be dominated and throttled. Everton are too keen to play to the level of their competition instead of playing at their own level.

Exactly. 4-4-2 against all this lot. Lets roll.
