Player Valuation: £35m
7 days remain of what has been a frustrating summer for all concerned at Everton Football Club. So many players have been linked with a move to Goodison Park and yet Moyes has failed to add to our wafer thin squad. I for one am expecting a busy week for Everton but i have mixed feelings regarding Moyes' comments suggesting he may have to make do with players of lesser quality just to make up the numbers.

At this moment in time, i would welcome almost any new faces arriving to boost the depth of the squad, but on the other hand, i fear Moyes may blow good money on a panic buy or two. However, for some reason i believe Moyes will unearth a Tim Cahill'esque signing as only Moyes can do. I, along with most of us blue noses have become increasingly uninterested in these constant transfer rumours and i have got to the point now that Moyes can now only surprise me in any move for players he makes. Here is to an exciting week of transfer activity at Goodison...We hope.

I really hope that he can perform some or other miracle. Had a look at the bench on Saturday and boy oh boy it was a young bunch. He needs to act quickly. Just dont see how he'll get in the amount of players he wants before the deadline. I would think 3 at most. I am just getting really frustrated at the way negotiations are being done. BK spoke a big game about Moutinho leading us all on a wild goose chase thinking the player was coming. Even mentioned him on the OS which was really really change for starters. That never happens...it smacks of someone being really desperate and trying to please the fans so that they just shutup! If they are so desperate to land this guy and they know Sporting will not budge from the 20 mill asking price, why in heavens name stop the bid at 18mill, 2mill short??? I am not getting something here? Was there EVER a bid put in for Moutinho??? I guess only they will know...I dont like this last minute business of handling transfers before the deadline. Imagine Arteta and the Yak got injured ... we would have been scr*wed by Albion as well.

yep. that's right steevie. a very busy 7 days coming up.

we are going to make signings, as i believe if we don't with the lack of options on the bench and perhaps throw in an injury or two we will be looking at a long cold winter.

interesting times.
