So we've probably scored more than any other team, in our opening game, over the last three seasons.
But not got a win.

In context: to finish 7th this season we'd have to win 13 points more than last season's total. With additions in we can surpass that, never mind equalling it.

....I think it's as much about how we play than new signings. We are too pedestrian. The Pienaar/Baines axis was vital in giving us momentum and guile to get behind defences and create chances. RM losing that aspect leaves us impotent in the top third.

Kone can run.

Who knew he could do either? Literally never seen him do what he did yesterday before. Need to see more of it consistently.

Not the end of the world this Promoted teams being good for a point on opening day, its not new. Going back 20 30 40 yrs when we all did the pools in work, they were as much of a banker as you could get.
