If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
A 920 point deduction would be something to behold.r but r but r but - will they get deducted 115 times our punishment?
More chance of United getting pinged than them

That`s what the likes of Chelsea do already, despite there being rules in place. I`d like to see a cap on the amount of revenue that clubs can spend on wages. Set a cap of 50% on players wages, that will allow clubs to pride the players with better training facilities, maintain their stadiums to a high level, which will provide good facilities for supporters and players on match days, and have a bit left over for transfer fees and maybe to invest in the clubs local communities. It`ll never come to be as the likes of the big clubs would never want to be hampered in their efforts to sign every player they can by throwing cash at them.Clubs owners should be allowed to spend whatever they want, but anything over 85% of the clubs income it taken on by the owner personally and cant be saddled on the club as debt.
Any would be something to beholdA 920 point deduction would be something to behold.
Chelsea are another one taking the piss. They have admitted to making secret payments during the abramovich era. An illegal advantage used to win silverware, for a long period of time.
Last time I checked, Chelsea were hoping to reach a financial settlement with the premier league!
They should at the very least be getting a massive points deduction, and at worst stripped of titles.
I think you are completely right - the only time it is a problem is if a team wants to jump up to that cabal. The thing about PSR (and any substitute) is that the rules are brought in by a majority of owners. I believe that there's a cabal - but it has been formed with a nudge and a wink from the rest of the clubs, who are doubtless relieved that the fans won't be pressuring fthem to put in extra investment.

Yes, and it's done in plain sight. It’s not a competitive sport anymore.
For me it is this. It feels more semi scripted entertainment now.A bit like WWE.
There are certain A list teams that get the majority of the global fans and viewing figures. The PL,SKY and other media outlets are in it for the money so they want the most popular/profitable to win. They like the occasional disruptor to add a bit of jeopardy but they will protect their golden eggs.
In the near future may get disruptor status, but can’t see us getting any higher.
For better or worse I do think things will change. As more and more Yanks buy into the league,I think the future model will be more akin to the NFL. It will be a closed shop. It may include European Teams. It will be a different cabal of teams setting the rules. We may get into this. We might not like or want to be involved but football is changing and I guess TFG want in.
I fear people ,as fans, will lose the connection with the business that will become the club. You read this a lot on the forum already. This won’t be just Everton.
I already have no interest in the wider PL. The RS winning the league had little impact on me as I truly believe that they are playing by a different set of rules and are in another league, almost literally.
If I could give up the addiction that is Everton I would.
Without doom-mongering, it's very sobering to see City and Utd spend so freely and in amounts which will probably exceed the total we'll spend in our "brand new start"
Thought this before, but even if it's £100m that's less than what Chelsea spent in Abramovich's first season in 2003, a generation ago.
These super clubs can drop that money in a week and barely think about it. We have to make it stretch to 6 or 8 players if we have it at all.
Within the next decade I can’t see the cabal remaining in the PL. some form of “super league” will start with owners wanting predictable revenue.
Just gotta wait it out.
When did this happen?I cannot believe they have deducted 2 points before the season has even started.
So, we start the season at -2?
I've felt this way for years. If some rich person wants to spend all their money on a football club they should be able to. However it is on their own personal risk and not on the clubs.Clubs owners should be allowed to spend whatever they want, but anything over 85% of the clubs income it taken on by the owner personally and cant be saddled on the club as debt.
