6 + 2 Point Deductions

As I have said on a number of occasions the statutory accounts give a hint of an impending PS numbers but unless you actually see the club’s submission then you can’t get close to the numbers.

Whilst I have great respect for the Swiss Rambler often his projections are way off.

I have had exchanges with him and whilst he uses a clubs accounts core information such as transfer fees in his projections come from the likes of transfer market which are far too often way off the mark.

For instance in Chelseas 21/22 accounts it is stated post the end of the accounting and up to the date the accounts were submitted , around March 23 the club signed 16 players ( which is in accord with transfer market ) and that along with signing new members of the coaching team came to £368.6 million. Transfer market put the cost of the players alone at £525 M which as I say is the number the Rambler used.

Of course there will almost certainly be add ons but again in those accounts the post reporting note tells us the club disposed of 16 players at loss of £4million. In that number were several players like Drinkwater, Rudiger and Werner who ( using flawed tranfermarkets number ) cost over £100 million and were probably alone accountable for 15% of the £160 million amortisation charge.

Bohey is accountable to a consortium and they will be all over the pit falls of FFP . No one has made much comment re amortisation save one of that number when making a speech to an economic forum a few months ago where he said some £57 million had been reduced from the wage bill and the charge to amortisation.

You’ve wasted a billion on crap and it will take a decade to fix it.

Time will tell on that one but if you didn’t get one of the points I was making its not close to the numbers being reported and clearly you haven’t grasped the ages of the players almost are no where near close to their prime nor have most played a full season in the PL yet.
You won’t remember but I certainly do Drogbas first season he couldn’t hit a cows are with a banjo scored 10 that first season. Jackson has scored 7 to date.
Of course some of the signings will fail but it’s far too early to write them all off

All that might be true, but you're absolutely miles away from challenging for titles again, imo of course. And as we know, that costs money in of itself.

There's also the small issue of the wage bill with no Champions League on the horizon.

PL introduced PSR to protect clubs and here they are trying to destroying at least one club via their rules thats their to protect.

You couldn't make this crap up

The thing that disgusts me most mate, is the impact on the City, Community and people. With no BMD there is no PSR difficulty - so why bother your hoop, investing in the City, providing for the community actually improving the PL brand and being a beacon on the International stage through the Euro etc. If we go down because of off the field matters that's real job losses at the club - peoples livelihoods, if the stadium stops that impacts the local economy and surrounding business's, it puts a hole in the whole waterfront development.

This just isnt an attack on Everton its an attack on the City, community and its people.
