6 + 2 Point Deductions

From Dyce

anybody?????

Here comes Sean Dyche and the Everton manager is first asked about the new charges brought against the club. He said: "I knew before the news breaking, not too far before. I think in a bigger picture view, I have been here approaching a year and in my timeline and certainly in the recent stats and facts I think we are in the bottom three or four net spends in the last three or four seasons. So there is a start point of the club motioning to doing things correctly.

"Since I have been here we have let players go out of contract. We have been working hard. We sold three young players in the timelines we were given to make sure the money was in. The new stadium speaks to itself, the affect that will have on the city.

"Alongside that trying to put out a team that can be competitive. You sort of end up with an on pitch sanction, there are mistakes we have made but that's a natural part of football, it's not an exact science. We get the initial spell, you lose 10 points and it's an on pitch sanction but we are cutting being on pitch powerful by cutting our resources."
Pretty much saying that the fact we’ve had to cut spending and sell off our best players thus weakening the squad is pretty much a sanction in itself before you even look at the 10 point deduction.

He’s not wrong like.

He's 100% correct

And the fact teams then need to sell their better players to meet these PSR thresholds, is another reason why the rules are a nonsense. It isn't rocket science to work out what clubs will then be buying the better players from midtable clubs.

yche was then asked his opinion on the club being charged on a period they have already been sanctioned on: "There are a bit of a challenge for us to work out why they were there but I am not going to go into the rules and regulations as I am sure they were laid out. I was trying to give a view from where I am looking at it all.

"I think the overlying thing that we are scratching our head about is the first situation really. Our focus remains on the appeal. I don't think it was just me who was shocked [about the 10 point deduction]. The pundits, the media were all shocked so we have to wait and see what the appeal brings. That might change and alter my view but not the bigger picture view."
Translation:
'Masters is a complete and utter kanwer that wants to keep in with the cartel by trying to pull the wool over the governments eyes and we just want to play football as well as we can'
I think

Realistically speaking and ignoring the fact that Mosh is skint, if we hadn’t reigned in our spending, put 2 fingers up to them and carried on buying players, we’d have got what? 12 points deducted? Was that what they said the maximum was?

12 points we’d be much better equipped to deal with because our squad would be better.

Trying to comply has done us no favours whatsoever.

Assuming 12 points is the Max, which it probably isnt, they could also add other things on.

Like say 12 points, 100m fine, transfer ban and squad restrictions on numbers to force the sale of players.

Trying to comply also gives us the chance to appeal and have a very good case to present.

Also, it would make us pretty toxic as far as sponsors are concerned.

100% mate. And not only that, the Premier League, are actually pushing for players to be sold at below market value to the TV Six in order to comply with their regulations as we did with Richy. It seems now that Forest will be punished for hanging on for a better price for Johnson.

Let's be honest, the more Moshiri would have spent, the worse the team we would have had. I reckon we would have gone down by now if we had kept spending at the levels under Koeman and Silva etc.

The rules are a nonsense, and the 10 point penalty is a nonsense considering our obvious attempts to reduce our transfer spend. But it's probably no bad thing we stopped spending money as well. It got to a point 2 or 3 years ago where I was terrified any time we were linked with a player, because I fully expected every signing we would make to be awful

Certainly not Evertons.

Utter clowns, I know everybody blames the PL and dont get me wrong, they are also utter clowns, but Everton Football Club is meant to have the best interests of its fans at heart. The PL is a faceless org who's sole intention is to make money.
Nah we proper goosed it like. No excusing the mismanagement that’s happened.
